Dolphin tour and Jozani Forest

The Dolphin tour and Jozani Reserve is a half-day tour that begins with a visit to the fishing village of Kizimkazi, in the South of Zanzibar. About an hour and a half drive from the historic stone city. Once there, we take a motor boat to get to the Dolphin zone in about five to ten minutes. If you are lucky, there will be a chance to swim and play with dolphins. After swimming and playing with very friendly and cute creatures for a few hours, you will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful coral reef, a variety of colored fish and other attractive marine life.

Then you will go to Jozani national Park, the only place in the world where Red Colobus Monkey live .

The Jozani forest reserve is located between The chwaka and Uzi bays and is the only preserved natural forest of Unguja and is a very important refuge for the island’s fauna. Once the entire island was covered with a rich tapestry of swamp forest, evergreens and mangroves, now all that remains is the Joz forest. Despite this, Jozani still boasts an eclectic biological diversity, with many strange and amazing animals living in and under the canopy of the old giants.Red colobus monkeys are the most famous inhabitants of the forest; subspecies found only on this island, they can safely loaf or fool around among themselves in the branches, their red coats reminiscent of British colonial rule. Be careful, and you may be lucky to see Sunnis (small deer), chameleons. A day out in the Jozani forest reserve is worth to spend it to good use.
